THICK DRY SKIN Liquid Hand Jam and Hand Jam Oil

So you have Rhino skin! This skin type traps water in the deepest layers of the skin and is excessively thick and dry at the surface making your hands perfect for cracking and flappers. On the surface, your hands lack both water and oil, and they are easily dehydrated by rock and chalk. We recommend you start with Liquid Hand Jam, cellular support then follow with Hand Jam oil, callus conditioner. This combination will help prevent excessive wear, splitting of your tips and the ever dreaded flapper. It will also create balanced resilient skin that will work as hard as you do. Here are the steps we recommend:- While climbing, use regular chalk.- After climbing, wash and dry hands well. Apply a quarter size of Liquid Hand Jam, and rub it in. It should absorb almost instantly. Then follow with a few drops of Hand Jam Oil, rubbing it into your skin in a circular motion where calluses are thickest. This will help the product to penitrate deeper helping you to avoid cracking and tearing.

Hot and Humid: In this case, we recommend using Liquid Friction and Friction Powder before climbing. As an after climbing treatment, use Liquid Hand Jam. Liquid Friction will eliminate any surface oils while depositing a fine layer of micro crystals that trap water on the surface of your skin, all this without stripping your skin of its natural moisture needed to keep skin healthy. For those extra Manky days, use Friction Powder before chalking up and prevent your chalk from getting pasty. Liquid Hand Jam will penetrate quickly to bring vital nutrients to your skin, optimizing the conditions for cell regeneration. I.E: new skin fasterCold and Damp: Pre-climbing, we suggest you use Friction Powder and your favorite chalk, followed by Hand Jam Oil. Give yourself a little hand massage while you are at it! Using Friction Powder before chalking up will prevent your chalk from becoming pasty. Cold weather also plays havoc on the moisture balance of the skin. If you have calluses, this is a recipe for a flapper. A little Hand Jam Oil will help to maintain that moisture balance. And, a good massage will go along way in keeping the blood flowing and preventing finger injuries.

ULTRA THICK CALLUSES

You need to file those babies down, before they turn into flappers! Use a sanitizable file to thin out those calluses...but you don't want them too thin. Ideally, you want them to be thick enough to provide protection, and flexible enough to grip the rock. Oh! And you will definitely want to remove all rough edges that can catch and tear. After filling, apply Hand Jam Oil, callus conditioner, this will help keep those calluses flexible

THICK SWEATY SKIN WITH CALLUSES

If you have sweaty hands and thick calluses, you are a prime candidate for the dreaded «flapper». The reason: poor moisture balance! In your case, your skin has excessive moisture and has little use for an oil based product that contains fillers, however your thick calluses need to be kept under control. -We recommend using a sturdy sanitizable file to thin them out. The key is not to thin them out too much, you want them to continue to provide protection but remain flexible. -Next we recommend you to use our Liquid Hand Jam. Why? It's simple! This fast absorbing product delivers vital nutrients to the cells, speeding up your skins' natural healing. -And finally just a few drops of Hand Jam Oil right on the calluses and rub into a circular motion, this will help to keep calluses flexible. Remeber, not too much oil.

With this skin type it is very important to know that excessive use of chalk may cause your skin to peel. Also, any use of oily or waxing products will be counter productive to your skins healing process. Sweaty skin already has excessive moisture and has very little use for an oil based product. However; with the proper hand care regime, you would be surprised by the awesome rock contact you can achieve! For best results, follow these simple steps:You should definitely use Liquid Friction and Friction Powder as a pre climbing treatment. Liquid friction will clean away any surface oils while depositing a thin layer of moisture trapping micro-crystals to the surface of your skin. Unlike other typical alcohol based drying agents, Liquid Friction will not damage the bonds of the skin or cause excess drying that will cause your skin to use faster. If after Liquid Friction you feel you need to take it a step further use Friction powder. Our moisture trapping micro-crystals will go the extra mile. By dipping your hands in the formula for a minute or so and then wiping of the excess, you will be able to chalk up as usual but prevent your chalk from turning into a pasty mess.As an after climbing treatment, use Liquid Hand Jam, cellular support. It is absorbed quickly and will not over burden your skin with heavy oils that are hard for your skin type to process. Though today Rush products are sold throughout North America, the company had a very humble start. Back in 2002, in Ketucky (USA), at Miquels' pizza and camping, Sue Charlebois, founder and CEO of the company, was nothing more than a climbing bum living out of her van and tent trailor. A moderate climber at best, with a sensitivity to chalk, she knew that there was two things holding her back.1.Self doubt and fear.2.Her handsChalk was making her hands so dry that the skin would wear down too fast and peel. Desperate for a solution, she went back to her roots as a costmatologist and started mixing up some ingredients. After sharing her concoction with a few friends, she decided that it was worth sharing with all climbers. That is how Hand Jam Oil, callus conditioner came to be!
